The 2nd I Knew Poem by Holda Felix

The 2nd I Knew

Well, giggle giggle - just like a child
And now
I can't look into those eyes.

Of all the places you've seen and been
Giggle giggle giggle
Eyes open wide.

The paterns of thought laid on your mind
A penny for them - you could bribe
Giggle giggle - never mind.

Hurt & bothered of the pain that stayed
That relentless anguish, it barely went away
Fighting back the days to 'Pray'
Admitting to believe in change
On the treadmill every day
Reading books that reprocreate
Finally you - have the last
Because we are left behind.

Giggle Gigggle giggle - just in your eyes.
