Texas Highways Xxiv Poem by Armadillo Poet

Texas Highways Xxiv

There are a few prohibitions
But only one commandment:

Remember you are an intelligent being.

To eat the moral is immoral,
Vegetarians are a vicious people;

To punish a cow or a deer with slavery or the hunt,
That is the great moral purpose;

The wolf has cunning both evil and pure,
It is forbidden to eat the wolf,
But there is good in their slaying;

Fish are stupid and cruel,
A high honor to each who tastes them.

If men act like cattle,
Earn praise treating them so.
