Testing Text To Speech Voices! Poem by Denis Martindale

Testing Text To Speech Voices!

When I start writing poetry, I can recite alone,
Beyond the text on lines I see, I can detect the tone.
Yet there are times I contemplate, is there another way,
To hear the words, then meditate, on what I want to say?
When Google offered sound advice, I went to search online,
For spoken voices that sound nice for poems that are mine.

So I set out, to find a few, for English words I wrote,
Text Magic helped in what I do, and that's why I took note.
Male voices, set at slower speeds, worked out for me quite well,
Like Grammarly, when that succeeds, my errors to dispel.
Resources lead to free tools now, so why not test these out?
Then save the link, and thus allow, what's there to talk about.

So save recordings, test each phrase, each syllable and word,
Before you finally embrace the blessings overheard!

Google points us to many text to speech free services.
Some don't pronounce prophecies and miracles as
they are meant to be spoken, but Text Magic does,
so I like to test the US and UK male voices there.

Some services offer us links and recordings, too.
We can experiment with punctuation and spelling.
We can get a Print Scrn copy of what's on display.
We can, in effect, go the second mile, so to speak...
