Tell Me My Old Friend... Poem by Aldo Kangomba

Tell Me My Old Friend...

Flowers Wither
Feelings Vanish
Love Turns into hate
Sex to hide our pain

I was a myth hiding in your smile
Anger beneath your smile
A monster of your bed time stories
Crawling in the gutter of your nightmare

As i emerge from the sewer of your dreams
The light kept fading away, from zenith to horizon
Like a tragedy, hiting you by surprise in
The middle of the road like the end of my season

As as i walk away from the happiness
In the melody of classic music, wondering
Why is everything i write is sad?
Answer me, Darkness My Old Friend!
