Tears Of A Little Brother Poem by Blessing Kalamatila

Tears Of A Little Brother

Rating: 5.0

He tries to keep his emotions cornered, inside like a jeanie in a bottle; in seclusion, tears cant hold back; his mind often contemplates, why he had to be the victim of an uncomprehensible circumstance; day by day he prays, for his sister to get better; he looks up to the creator with anticipation, but the response reverted back is be still.
The pain in his heart is echt, as he would often reflect, on why the journey of life wouldbe so jolty if Jesus was behind the wheel; Clad in a mask of happiness when his around peers, in an effort to dry up his tears; see, the pain makes it hard, for him to adhere to what constitutes a man born in a family of daughters; and his thoughts profound; running deeper than quiet waters.
He observes her from a distance, battling with her malady; and out, he goes to his balcony and looks to the skies trying to make a wish; one that would at least save her; but no stars shooting, just a dark blue sky with pessimistic clouds; perharps the jeanie is not home.
He sits back, with nothing but tears in his eyes; understanding in full that some wishes are never meant to be answered, but with both knees to the ground, he committes all to he who resides up above; as the least he could do, for he is just an unsophisticated worrior, with a pen that writes a battle only his sister could fight.
