Tears Poem by Veronica Jane

We do not cry from sadness, or anger.
We do not wither when strong winds come.
W do not falter underneath an evil sun.
We do not break when hit with steel.

We are not invincible.
We love until our hearts break.
We work until our bodies are sore.
We smile until everyone smiles with us.

We walk until our feet are bleeding.
We offer until there is nothing left.
We give to you, our children.
Mothers are the beginning of the world, but we are also human.
