Take Off Poem by Nathalia Hunter

Take Off

The bright lights shimmering along the ground
Guide us to the runway as our plane prepairs for its departure.

The sky: a black sea
With soft grey clouds acting as its blanket,
Makes for a comfortable flight.

City lights, house lights, and every light
Begins to blur as we speed through faster and faster.
Houses, buildings, cars, and people
Grow smaller and smaller until they're nothing.

The wheels fold up into the aircraft,
Only to re-appear for landing.

We have take off.
