Sympathy For What's Lost Poem by breanna givens

Sympathy For What's Lost

What cant be fixed will always be broken, so I don’t waste my time with silliness and joking
I don’t sit on the wall but I stand on my word, i'm shy like a turtle but I speak to be
heard,
If you make a decision you must always pay the cost, I don’t feel sad for what’s gone or have sympathy for what’s lost,
My days come and go, my happiness leaves with it, darkness was cold but now I forget
it,
My conscience don’t faze me, my eyes never lie, but people don’t care about the feelings I hide,
So I say screw the people, and whoever’s the boss, my trust for it is gone and my sympathy is lost.
