Lay Down Poem by breanna givens

Lay Down

Back tracked where my since seemed to lack and the lost would never be found,
On a path of misery but all i can see is me with my knees nearly touching the ground,
Faithful but hopeful im tryng to find myself out the place where i seem to be bound,
I'll cry and I'll weep but depend on my feet to keep me from ever falling down.

Their noise their lies have blinded my eyes, on the path i took the wrong left,
The independence in my might got cut out my life and died when i took my last breath,
I'd have to agree that when i lost me the world saw nothing but a clown,
So in my grave I'll smile and wave because thats the time I'll finally lay down.
