Swimming In The Air Poem by Kestrel Quiambao

Swimming In The Air

Stuck in this wrong paradox of time
Feeling man's depression
Searching man's salvation
With the use of apple and lime.

Drained by the sources of wisdom and knowledge
Dreaming a new dimension leading to another trap
Anything I cannot do but just to nap
And rest these troubles and jinx into the edge.

Life's so compassionate
Telling me to eat the forbidden fruit
From a tree that never had a root
Swimming away in the ocean by eight.

With all these sixes and sevens
Chewing my mind off just to scream
Is this my present dream
Just to realize the earth lives along with the heavens.

I'm tired of explaining and complaining
All I can say is sorry
Life is full of its worry
So corrupted with a smile of living.

All I did was save myself from a bottomless pit
Carried my heavy burden unto the mountain top
Where bones and corpses lie from sky's drop
All I did was to make my body and heart fit.

Now it's sink or swim and travel a mouse maze
What have we done with our life and path
There's no hand or brain to be saved from the wrath
Of stainless knives that stabs with I gaze.

Did Adam and Eve create such illusion
Where man and woman needs each other
And live the spiral life of a father and a mother
Where children pull a face with a pale confusion.

Search the hell in the earth
And look for the root of your spiral mind
Until you see all your broken memories needed to find
And see your priceless worth.
