Sweet Tragedy Poem by Tracy Craighead

Sweet Tragedy

Rating: 5.0

I'm stuck in the storm, whirling round about
Everything I know, now upside down
Promises made years ago.....
So suddenly, but-easily set free.
I have given up on the dream
On the "supposed-to-be'
Clinging to a hope and a plea,
I lost the 'me' in you, as a two became a 'we'
Harvesting memories from a fog of misery.

The fuel to fan a fire burning so deep
As the melody to your symphony
Of pleas of 'remember me'!

Savagery meets symmetry
in a play of sweet tragedy

The poem apparently reflects glimpses of a loving relationship which could not reach its fairy end. I lost the 'me' in you, as a two became a 'we' Harvesting memories from a fog of misery.
