Justice Of Tyranny Poem by Tracy Craighead

Justice Of Tyranny

Rating: 5.0

Self righteous, he is an enemy
and holds the power
to terrorize me
does he come from hell
and my torment he seeks
like an infection, he preys on me
i have no peace, no rest in dreams
the end of this game
frightens me

yet, fear burns like fire, deep inside
but the flames transform my injured mind
to fight for freedom and a way to the light
this fight was never about wrong or right

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is about a battle against the US justice system, the reality of injustice when David fights Goliath. It is the frustration of the realization that there is no real justice when money is involved. Governments are like corporations, people seeking promotions and wealth and power. Justice is not blind.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

One has to fight tooth and nail for justice in the courts of law or the administrative corridors but finds extraneous factors playing their role to thwart his effort to get it. Very thoughtful and universal. Thanks.

True emotion in your words also poet notes. Sometimes we should reward ourselves for the battles we survive.

Thank you, I'm not at the point of feeling like I've survived, but I am hopeful.
