Sweet Poison Poem by Cassie Picariello

Sweet Poison

I'm in the darkness,
and un-lit sunrise waiting to fall;
I died in battle,
a struggling soldier unable to breath;
I'm bound to this earth,
Immortal; Unbearable;
The raging war inside of my is;
Destruction; Disgust.
My heart is in turmoil,
not capable of escape;
Unheard are my screams -
Unseen are my pleas of mercy.
