Sunlight Poem by Mike Burdick

Sunlight

Why wont the flaming sun burn down these tragedy’s.
Suffocate the remedy of tomorrows change.
Rain flooding illusions of happiness.
Come on, we are all kids lets play along!
Colorblind ghost leading the innocent into empty shadows.
Accidental love caught in bitter sweet casualty.
BURN SUN! ! I said burn, every step, every turn.
Medicate the pain, fly with your broken wings.
Come back down to the endangered cry of dirty screams.
Say good night to your lithium, a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Hallucinate over your broken compass.
Stuck in a network of over grown hedges.
Magnify edification through your bleeding eyes.
Come on Sun, I said BURN and lets dance in the rain for fun.
