Sun Of Sahara Poem by Luwi Habte

Sun Of Sahara

Rating: 4.3

The lovely sun which gives light
All the time day and night
I hate her she became ma enemy
I am scared she might melt me

Rather than Sahara in the cold areas
I was missing you, going where you are
But now a time when I am at the desert
I wish to be with the moon hate you to hell

You my sweet moon you own my heart’s deepest part
So replace my sun then don’t be apart
Try to hide your side effect, don’t lost at the day time
Stay beside me day and night, make me feel the same

But you the sun of Sahara, research peoples want
Look at us, stop to be so hot
Let us look after you, don’t get lost
Unless you can be our lovely, not
Or don’t disturb our lovely moon
At most keep your dignity and stay cool

I want to hear more of these poems about Africa. I love this one. Had'nt thought much about the moon over the Sahara. All we hear about is the heat of the sun and the importance of an oasis for both man and camel.Today the sun is our great friend in Ireland. It is shining all day long after many weeks of of rain in our Summer season. We rejoice.I like the idea of the sun keeping its cool! No guessing for me but 10 for taking on not only the Sahara sun but inviting the moon to be a daytime companion as well. Read a few of my poems. I think you will find some reflections of yours in them.

You are from Eritrea, no? One of the more exotic places I've heard of on here, certainly. As to the poem, I thought it was very well written and I'm sure has a very personal meaning to yourself. I'm not sure whether the spelling 'the' as 'z' is for poetic effect or not, but it's a very nice touch. I like it at least. ^__^
