Summery Spring Poem by Yamini Iyer

Summery Spring

Attired in her pink trousseau, she stands at the doorstep
Looking back in to the days she spent here
The joy drops down their cheeks
Wiping all their wishes to stop her for a few more hours…
The happiness she brought with, when she was born…

Earth bloomed million flowers, the cumulonimbus clouds hailed happiness home
Her tender raw skin seems to blush now
Her li'l pink fingers now rest in his hands
Her twinkling eyes now awaits to knit a new life

A budge ahead, and she strides into a very new world
That seems to be bright, where seems to be light
I wish to behold her eyes, that whispers loud into my ears
They declaim! she can't encase her memories, she carries them deep in her heart

They mean a lot to her, she wishes to stay an hour more
& this hour would just be enough for her heart to unfold
To let them know what she never expressed all these days
But! ! ! he holds her tight
Now it's just her eyes that asserts her love for them
Its time to bid her bye, for now if you don't free your arms you can't embrace the new season
Free your arms… let her presence be flushed with the melting hail
Let her fly as she hails from the springs…
Open your arms and cuddle into the summers coz spring has now imbued into another world…
