After I left the home, my dad had a rooster that couldn't crow, though it went through all the motions. Just one little er or something came out.

Very good. Perfect haiku form: five syllables, then seven, then five. Makes me look forward to a summer morning. No new snow today so far, but I did a lot of shoveling yesterday.
