Sugar Coated Lies Poem by Silence Dogood

Sugar Coated Lies

Rating: 5.0

Youre so good at stretching the truth into a sugar coated lie.
But your not so good at seeing the tears in my eyes.
You may be pretending but I can tell whats fake.
You say you love me but my heart you'll break.
I know what your hiding beneath your disquise.
I can see the deciet that stain your lies.
The secrets you keep the guilt you always feel.
You make it a dream even though its real.
The clouds that blanket your sky.
The red in youre tear stained eyes.
I see it all as I stand by your side trying to break your mask.
A peck on the cheek and a hug goodbye was never ment to last.
Your just so good at stretching the truth into a sugar coated lie.
You can kiss my cheek, hug me goodnight, but you cant say goodbye.
Whether its a broken promise or a forgotten hello.
We both hang on when we should let go.
And all we can do is try.
And tell our sugar-coated lies.
