Sudden Death Poem by Jade Stone

Sudden Death

I'm sitting here waiting
When all love is spared
This ache that I feel
Is all in my head

I'm mislaid at the thought
Of drifting away
But what hope is left
When there's nothing to say,

But like sudden death
A game we both feared
This world full of wonders
A life disappeared,

And just like the calling
Of trust lost in vain
We slowly start drifting
Apart from this pain,

All in this fear
This once star crossed haze
Had led us apart
And at last better days,

A truth once considered
Yet serenely ignored
Gave us our lives
Alone of reward
