The Clown Poem by Jade Stone

The Clown

Concealed behind a shattered smile
He lurches along desperately
Searching for a sign

Groping his content
From another persons absurdity
Secreted emotions
He staggers along
On his journey
Unaided
He attempts to inhale life into his
Hidden, unsaid lungs

He doesn't desire the individuality
He has acquired behind a hidden face
He beams when people observe him
And bawls when he is forsaken…

He wants to be found
He just wants to be himself
