Strong Flowers Poem by Lee Claiborne

Strong Flowers

Despite the berating
they remain poised & lovely like heaven intended,

Drenched in the harshest rain
& yet tactfully prevail 'unbended',

Past blunders are but nutrients
That strengthen their imperfect petals

As they thrust themselves
Thru the coldest grounds that implore them non-stop to settle.
