Strangely Have I Been Poem by Piscine Kipling

Strangely Have I Been

Strangely will I one day see, what can be deemed
Impeccably odd, sights left only to surreal dreams

I seek out a treasure longed for by many failures
As I gamble away my youth for something I'll have later

A pursuit out of the ordinary and into myself
Separating a man from mankind as I leave my shell

I am made by the conformity arisen from desires unborn
But sold, of which had once made me feel forlorn

When I tread through merciless backwaters in despair
It leaves me wondering what I will do when I get there

I blindly and daringly pursue a long-term impulse
But still, foolishness is better then being lost
