Piscine Kipling Poems

I find myself in the dark covers of a mountain's shadow
In a cabin, dying down the memories days past had brought
Raging times and memories we torn up still not mellow
Through my window, I see the black bear's leg is caught

What does the sky do but drape over us, in deep blue and solemn gray?
And what is our aspirations doing but pull us further into a bitter end?
Why are we chasing those moments we plan to have some other day?
We know our futures will eventually come, but what happens then?

My peripherals make people out my eyes
None are really there but I seem to see them
For God sent me visions that do nothing but lie
Bringing my soul to back to hell, where it was from

I use to love you more everyday and its slipping away
Times are getting right and the night shines with a little less moonlight,
And when I look up its not so pleasant, our romance created from heaven,
The passion is burning up and we find ourselves with less love,

Come on baby I want you to show me your soul
Give me your riddles and we'll solve them slow
Create those picturesque scenes so maybe we'll last
You can be my island and I'll be an outcast

Every step you take making your feet wetter

Some say I went their alone, but I know the story

She's just some ordinary girl with a pretty face
Some beauty I don't know and someone I exaggerate
She's a muse to me, pictures of her inspire my poems
I write about her life and its something I don't know

Predicament

I have seen it all and the choice I want to make
Now is to retreat into the solemn quiet life of my mind
...

We live in a transparent world with covered eyes and visions veiled
Our self-respect and dignity sold for a job, our lives are sealed
Go to school for years so you can work the dayshift until your lunchtime meal
And when Mr. President comes around your already on the ground in a kneel

I'll be the one, to tell you babe, that you ain't crazy, and its not in your head
And if you want to go, I'll remind you of why, you should stay with me for a while

I'll be the one, that cheers you up inside, if your rifted by the alienation of life
...

I remember moments far back in the deepness of my mind
Of past times, of you and me and a life that has been
I remember thoughts I use to have all throughout the night
When my world was about you, one that I have always knew

An analytical mind analyzing each situation, scenario and thought
Passive thoughts springing from nothing and turning into something
As thinkers delve deeply, trying to discover what that has brought

Once upon a time, in a mind that was different and still young
I had hopes for man, to find what was unilluminated by the sun

I'm pursuing my teenage years while being completely lost
Uncontrollable uncertainty unbinds me, shaking and stirring
False truths I then dwell upon, and then it proceeds to toss
My senses into a chance direction, I latch onto anything alluring

Who was that pretty girl I was looking at from a distance, unnoticed
She speaks to me, I don't know her yet I already created her life story
In another lifetime, she would have been a court bard's muse
I think of her face as comparing to a sun setting into the western sea,

With the passage of time, I've become different

Now hear this call and listen with an open mind this story I'm going to tell
Its the tale of the expanding government and its infringment on our rights
Disallow a particular plant and throwing the natural into a free man's hell
And we the people suffer with this, so don't say prohibition is alright

Cold Sunday Mountain Blues

I find myself in the dark covers of a mountain's shadow
In a cabin, dying down the memories days past had brought
Raging times and memories we torn up still not mellow
Through my window, I see the black bear's leg is caught

Snow falling heavily like tears I shed all year
My baby I thought I knew the meaning of your life
And you knew mine but I can tell you this dear
That my heart is still bleeding from your hot knife

Chorus

I can think of you all day and still can't sleep
Feeling incomplete and never wanting anymore
In a divine snowstorm that's gone above knee deep
Punished for happiness is a gift sent from the lord

Wasting away my last humble and selfless thoughts
A cynic is borne from the lies you have said
I wish you had found another to give you your wants
Then your cruelty would have never gone to my head

Chorus

You pushed me away and I'm yet to find out again
What I was born for until the liquor tells me so
That I was made to be unhappy and to die in vain
Pursuing a heart burning yet still feels so cold

Your still creeping through me like a flower and a bee
Both soon to fade with a sudden snowstorm soon to come
I'm hoping you close the door and will forever leave
And then I can say love is something I've gone and done

Chorus:

Sunday morning still lying awake,
Under the sheets and a mountain overhead,
Drinking this bottle till you go away
Feeling so lonely in this great big bed
And all my once cherished thoughts about you
Keep me dead in this cold sunday mountain blues
