Lost In Tomorrow Poem by Piscine Kipling

Lost In Tomorrow

I am lost in tomorrow, I'm already gone from today
Some say I went their alone, but I know the story

I fell into a hole, a place that freezes my time
Stuck, I thought to myself, now I just need to find
A way out of this hole, and so I looked for something
In that hole and found it, what a joy it could bring
That thing I found, it was a ladder and now I'm out of it
But I'm still alone and surrounded, I'm out but indifferent
To find something important, perfect for where you are
Or what you are doing, and then if you don't care
About that thing you found, it eventually gets lost
I suppose that happened to me, nobody cared and I'm gone

Why are you lost in tomorrow, and not today?
Some of you may ask, and I'll answer this right away
I'm lost in tomorrow because a day ahead often gives one
Another opportunity, a hope to redeem mistakes done
And today I tried taking that chance, to do so tomorrow
Correcting my bad judgement, but that only brought sorrow
For you see, I had lost the chance again after too many
Tomorrows, and now I'm alone and my tomorrows affect nobody

With nobody to care about my tomorrow, I am lost
And maybe the tomorrows after tomorrow I will be forgotten
