Stormy Times Poem by Rajagopalan Kumar

Stormy Times

Day and Night seem the same in every way
Daytime Sun had taken off for a Sunday
Rolling bars of water waves batter the land
Hounding the fisher folk back to the land.

Pounds of water pound the earth as rain
Waste in the drain with none to gain
With lightning strokes piercing the eerie dark
Trees showcase a ghostly dance in the stark
Howling winds prowl throughout the night
Bird, beast and men crouch inside in sheer fright
One of nature's furious face at a closeup glance
Another posture of Nature's Cosmic Dance.
