Storm Poem by Annie Long

Storm

The skies are green,
Winds shake the brush,
As all the world has seen,
The clouds and the earth touch,
Everything around feels the rush,
Shaking the trees may not be much,
But lightning attacks,
And thunders roar,
Hail takes its toll,
Debris paint the horizon black,
Bringing fear into your soul,
The world screams for more,
But the gusts die down,
Lightning and thunder lack,
Sunshine pours through a huge hole,
You see the destruction of the town,
Quiet without a sound,
But once again the rains start to pour,
Your heart starts to pound,
Worse than before the clashes form,
The air shakes,
Buildings break,
As you realize you are in the eye of the storm.
