Stolen Moments Poem by Paul Reed

Stolen Moments

Stolen moments preciously conserved
Residual time when all others have been served;

When duties done and support granted
Reassurance lent and feet planted;

When family ties and bonds renewed
Hope, strength and comfort imbued;

To offer a home, both solid and proud
But privacy put aside to suit the crowd;

A nucleus, a hub, a central theme
Where we all reign together supreme;

After all of this, a span short and sweet
To savour our stolen moments so fleet;

A time in the evening, when we are tired
To reflect on our dreams and be re-inspired;

So that when tomorrow dawns we are prepared
From the stolen moments that we shared.
