Still I rise even when you put me down
holding my head the worlds spinning round and round.
tried to shoot me down still I didnt go and cry
even when you abused still held my head high.
Tried to break free but our blood is still tied, no matter what you say or do forever still I rise.
Looking for great expectations, still I rise no matter what
I know I'll be happy its a feeling in my gut.
No matter what you do, I wont let you get me down
the devil could never get to me happiness is my crown.
Im stronger than before still I fight, you wont get to see me cry
cause I've shielded my love, I've shielded my heart
FOREVER STILL I RISE
