Sticky Wicket Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Sticky Wicket

It’s a sticky wicket
But you have to
Stick with it;
Get through no matter what.
You can’t dropp out
Or throw it away,
You just have to make it;
Take it as it plays.

Sometimes you’re a winner
Sometimes you lose;
Times you’re livin’ the life,
Times you’re singin’ the blues.
But each day the sun rises
You have a brand new slate
With a whole new ball game,
Plenty blessings on your plate.

It’s the yin and yang
Of life you see,
Not so much
A mystery
If you have a little faith
In the overall plan;
Let your worries cease
Much as you can.

Each day given
Has its own place,
And the grace
To see you through.
So try to be thankful
For the life given to you
And simply do with it,
The best you can do.
