Stewards And Guardians Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

We are stewards and guardians of the blue planet
Bestowed by God with intelligence saving not destroying
With possibility growing new flourishing Garden of Eden
Where harmony, peace, and love will reign supreme.
But like he foolish man who acts upon his own wisdom
Without thought or regard to Heaven's plan
We make bad choices selecting which species survive
Burn forests, destroying trees lungs of the world
Lay waste turning flourishing woodlands into deserts
Creating ticking time bomb, polluting the atmosphere
Threatening living things with fatal global warming.
Factory farming, meat stocking larders and freezers
Culling other species allowed to breed and continue.
Humanity only animal waging war and killing for pleasure.
