Stay Away Poem by Simon Mwila

Stay Away

Rating: 5.0

Fame, Blame, Shame
Two of which you'd never want attached to your name

Take this as a poem instead of a bunch of rhymes
Because Truth is both solid and unseen - sublime

I recently learnt that Newton's second law of motion
May or may not apply to human emotion

I'm riding coach in a train of my own thoughts
I realise I have the Christ to help me watch my thoughts

I spit bars that imprison me behind my own conscious
Committing mental crimes of passion I should be more cautious.

In my mind I seem to be discovering reason
Meanwhile my body puts my heart on trial for treason

The judge n jury are the members of my mind-state
Opposing council barred like Zambia at the G8

I'm not trying to curse the nation, I'm just saying..
Don't fall in love if the other person is playing.
Stay Away!
