Stay Alive Poem by luciana isabelle

Stay Alive

Rating: 3.5

Just a little bit more
please stay by my side
I won't be a burden
I won't be a trouble
not anymore

just a little bit more
please do give me a chance
feel the warmth
feel the love
that was meant for me

just a little bit more
please do stay alive
keep on breathing
keep on laughing
keep on smiling
just like you always be

I wonder
Why would you have to suffer?
why would you have to endure?
This fate, this faith?
Don't make me laugh

The clouds are rolling in
The sky looks clearer than ever
I can feel the breeze
But I feel nothing
it was just empty in here

Until now,
it's been like a habit
watching you here
laying on this bad
with the same clothes
with the same look
and with the same YOU

Oh God!
Why must I watch?
When he's here
but he's not here
leaving me alone
in the dark
slowly
to suffer

Oh God!
take mine
instead of him
let him alive
if not forever
than
for just a little bit more

Just a little bit more
For him to sing
For him to smile
For him to laugh
For him to be HIM
and for me to only look
just to look
like he did before
forever...

A nice one! Pondering too much about the difficulties will always take away the life out of life!

'for just a little bit more'... That's the crux! A beautiful prayer, well written. Thanks for the notes.

Very nice poem. Very deep. I can tell that it is about someone we love, a dad to be precised. I can imagine your situation right thru your poem..loved it! : D
