Stars Poem by Jenna Dandurand

Stars

Stars
shooting across
the sky,
leaving purple trails
of cosmic dust in
their lofty wake.
Watching them on
the vast world
just makes you feel
so small
and oblivious
and ignorant.
Stars
gracefully flying
by our planet,
leaving nothing but
a memory.
A beautiful,
somber memory
that you will always
cherish.
And one day,
when you grow
big and tall,
you will look back
on that blissful
night, and you will
feel as if you were
the wisest,
biggest,
and all knowing.
You shot through the sky
like a star.
