Standstill Poem by Marites C. Cayetano

Standstill

Standstill
like the trees in the forest
let not the wind blow you down
hold on until the storm is gone.

Stand Still
let the gentle breeze caress you
and listen to the birds singing
while the sun shines bright.

Stand Still
and slowly close your eyes
as the dark warmly embrace you
in the night.

Stand Still....
as life goes on.
