Stand Still Poem by Macy (Nina) Dvirnak

Stand Still

What was just today a moment ago,
Is now yesterday.
And yet,
It is today again!

What is not yet tomorrow,
Will soon be today-

What is not yet today,
Was yesterday.

However, yesterday
Was in fact,
Considered to be today

So then,
I'll see you tomorrow-
That is, Today!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Time progresses in a circular motion,
pulling all around it into its vortex of pure momentum. there is none created that can stop such an authoritative and demanding power called time.

Only God can bend time to His will. For God was not created, but rather has always existed. It is God who created such a thing as time. Therefore He cannot be ruled by time. God is not to be so underestimated as to fancy that His creation could overpower Him or rule over Him- an He has such authority and power, that He is not to be ignored. Of everything He requires an account. and mere man is no exception. Who are you, to ignore He who holds the Promise of tomorrow in His hands?
