Stand For A Change Poem by Max Okere

Stand For A Change

Every moment that passes by,
I think about those once on earth, now in the sky.

Thoughts about the future inside this world of despair,
And where every dare ensnares us deeper to a mare nightmare.

Guns and stuns, everywhere,
Scare and tear, hard to bear.

I always imagined the war to be a place with no guideline,
fight or be taken prisoner, the only lifeline.

Then shall you realise life is too short to live,
So why spend it being held captive?

It is never to late to make peace,
Because when we do, all the violence will decrease, and this war will cease.

We all stand for a change,
Sincerely, violence is not taking us towards the right range.

So lets all get along and shake hands,
Together as one, we shall meet all our demands.
