Stages Of Grief Poem by Tori Alana

Stages Of Grief

I stand and watch as the fatal blow
Is rent toward you in black shadow
You cry with tears a piercing blue
As I cry tears of flame for you
You lay your head upon the grass
And with a sigh you breathe you last
I can't believe you do something like this
Let your final breath escape with a hiss
Let my fire tears burn to painful glass
As they cascade down hot and fast
I blame you, it's your fault
Leaving me in unbearable tumult
Those fire-glass tears fall day and night
And as the stars curse the light
I finally wipe the tears away
And stand to face the dawn of day
