Torn To Rebuild Poem by Tori Alana

Torn To Rebuild

My dream has left me
Can’t you see?
Torn to pieces by your hand,
Scattered like seeds across the land.
Leaving me poisoned, my heart to bleed,
Leaving me stronger, and ready to lead.
Leaving the promise to leave me be.
Starting then and there, you see
The problem, don’t you now?
From past experience, I know your vow
Will not stay put, and you’ll find a loophole
That has always been your goal.
Never deciding to think it through,
Never thinking about what to do.
So let me find my new dream,
For I am not all that I seem.
