Spiritual Darkness Poem by dave lessard

Spiritual Darkness

The world's in spiritual darkness
we've lost it's guiding light;
shadows cover the countryside
with the end, alas, in sight.

It started with family breakup
casting out God from school;
giving the nod to abortion
thinking that mankind can rule.

Polluting the air we breathe
fouling the water we drink;
giving the liberals free rein
of what we say and think.

Calling some men,a woman
calling some women,a man;
confusing the genders entirely
so they can't understand.

The world's in spiritual darkness
from the one in which we grew;
we've lost all morals and values
from the world that we once knew.
