Spider Poem by Kevin Moss

Spider

I saw you in my dreams last night,
even there we had to fight.
I see you when I close my eyes,
and can't forgive you for your lies.

I smell your perfume as I lay in bed,
you would never betray me is what you said.
I think of you constantly,
cannot believe how you used me.

I watch you walking hand in hand,
you've thrown away the golden band,
that united us in matromony,
blessed by god in ceremony.

I wish you well I almost say,
then remember the shameful day,
when I found you in that foul embrace,
of lovers lust and my disgrace.

What awaits me now I am broken,
a pile of bills are your loves token.
You took my soul, you broke my heart,
next my life will soon depart.

Now aside the bridge I stand,
awaiting loves last command.
I cannot forgive what you have done,
and damn you for the web you've spun.
