100 Words Of Gold Poem by Kevin Moss

100 Words Of Gold

As the Olympiad approaches,
nervous athletes worried coaches.
No one sees the work that's done,
in the hope of medals won.

All the pain, self deprivation,
to compete for their nation.
Training to achieve perfection,
free from foul drug detection.

To be the fastest or the strongest,
jump the highest or the longest.
To hear her anthem as flag is raised,
see his countrymen full of praise.

To hold the medal for her team,
this is his Olympic dream.

Applaud them for their determination,
and their honour to uphold.
Salute them for great courage,
in their quest for Olympic Gold.
