Speak When Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Speak When

Rating: 5.0

Silence helps in two ways
It pushes anger away
Keeps composure under control
Responds later cleverly later to a call

Mind is like devils headquarter
It is neither desired nor sought after
Prayers bring little calm and comfort
Mind and heart both are at good rapport

In haste, it may respond other way
Things may be understood different way
Words spoken may be taken as an affront
Person faces onslaught on the front

So there lies golden advice
Keep mum with silent device
Person may get tired of abusing
As opponent may be totally refusing

Sometimes heart break also invited silence
Person looses mind with thought’s absence
There is no balance between what ought to be said
And what is to be retained

So react or speak when desired
The cause will definitely be served
You may be appreciated and heard
There has to be compromise with an aim to look forward
