Sparks, Flame, Fire Poem by pump princess

Sparks, Flame, Fire

Rating: 5.0

Don't tell me what you're feeling yet;
My ears aren't yet prepared.
Don't ask me what I feel for you;
my mouth is still quite scared.

I'm watching you and what you do,
my eyes won't shy away.
I beg of you to beckon me-
in silence-so I'll stay.

My heart does not yet want to know
but yearns to touch and feel-
to wonder and investigate
an 'us' still so surreal.

Let's explore the here and now,
instead of what might be.
Let's dance the dance around the flame;
perhaps we'll set love free.

Last two lines have some real poetic truth

'Let's explore the here and now, instead of what might be.' Meaningful, significant verses. Logical and reasonable also. Our moments fly very quickly.
