I used to carry parcels
In South East Shanghai
Sometimes during the day
Sometimes late after midnight
And when I got to my bed
Under the staircase
I wondered till sunrise
Cramped with Victor Chang and two others
As to why we were so poor
In a place so rich
All the pretty young girls were taken
Like Joan Chen who lived upstairs
And moaned the whole god-damned night
But I was only a parcel boy
In South East Shanghai
Well expressed thoughts and feelings. An insightful creation nicely brought forth with insight.
Such a humble beginning. Please kindly check my poems HOPE and THE BEAUTY OF DEATH. Kingsley Egbukole
