Sound Poem by Hyde

Sound

The glee filled cackle of a true friend.
Coverup coughs in a room of silence.
Roaring wind as it passes you by as you race down a grassy slope.
Chattering streams on their way to the big water.
A thudding bass emitting from tremendous speakers.
The cat purring as it nestles it’s face against your chest.
The sizzle pop of frying bacon.
A screaming kettle wanting to be heard.
The dinging bell of an order-up.
Silence just after a gun’s been fired.
The sorrowful sobs of a mother, as she learns the truth of her baby.
Crickets chirruping under the night sky.
The comforting pitter-patter as raindrops collide with the earth in the dead of night.
A clock ticking away the life of a loved one.
The sudden stop of a heart beneath your cold hand.
