Sorry is to you, just another word
I know the fact that I am writing this is just quite absurd
I also know to you I will never seem the same
I know that in your life you don’t want to hear my name

I'm sorry that I caused you pain and things cannot revert
I'm sorry for all the things I’ve done and all of the hurt
I'm sorry that I was ever in your life causing all this stress
I'm sorry that you feel this way and that I’ve caused such a mess

To you I know that you think this was your fault
How could I live when I committed such an emotional assault?
I know that without me your eyes would not be red and sore
But know this now that I love you and loved you before

I wish that things never had turned out this way
I wish I had never thrown you into the fray
I hope we can go back to the way we were
I'm sorry that I told her that I loved her
Why am I such a selfish cur?

Why do I do these things to thee?
When all you’ve done is loved me
I can’t fathom the pain I’ve caused
Nor the good friends that you’ve lost
You’re still hurting I’m assured
All I can say is sorry, and that’s just a word
