Sorry (2) Poem by Tierra Bradley

Sorry (2)

You always say you're sorry
Sorry for accusing me
Sorry for breaking promises
Sorry for everything
But do you mean it?
I DON'T THINK YOU DO?
When you apologize to someone
You're not supposed to do it again
You're supposed to make it better
But you don't
Sometimes
I feel like you're a broken record
You always say you're sorry
WHY! ? !
Why can't you just trust me?
You know
If you just trust me
There won't be a reason to apologize
I am really getting tired
Of the same old lame apologies
I'm sorry for blah blah blah
Do you know
That I'll actually believe you
If you didn't say it
Like you didn't mean it
You have to say it with feeling
Say it like your life depended on it
SAY IT WITH SOUL!
So the next time
You want to apologize
MEAN IT!
