Sorrow Poem by sheetal Vincent

Sorrow

Mornings awoken with renewed ebullience
Wanting to lead a Spartan life,
Hoping each day to reach the sky
Falling to the thorns but filled with sang-froid.

Embracing the nothingness left
Incisive to find bliss
Each step increases the dilemma
Things that were lucid seemed to ramify

Oblivious of the consequences
Yet treading into the open with buoyancy
Hoping that life would offer more
To a pitiful soul fallen hard
Lost in the emptiness still searching for something real
Regardless of the pain it would proffer
