Love Poem by sheetal Vincent

Love

Sometimes I wake up wishing you were there beside me
But discontent awaits this thought
And I long to subtract this thought that visits me habitually.
I wish to fill this emptiness it brings
With your love that I long to receive

Unaware of its timing,
I continue to wait with renewed spirit.
Hoping you would empathize
With your love for me
Oblivious of the strange understanding
That we share between us.

Sometimes my heart falls into a dilemma
Unable to infer what your heart holds for me
But each thought of you
Erases these confusing thoughts
And helps me cascade over the complexity
Your love often brings along with it.

Time and again a fear mounds within me
That your love for me may fall short
Without loosing hope I stand firm
With the belief that it is real
Your love for me is real.

My heart waits for your reassurance
That would emancipate my spirit
Like a bird let out of its cage
