Sorrow Poem by Gary Ware

Sorrow

Rating: 5.0

As I sit and gaze at you.
I see sorrow in your eyes.
Your smiles are too few.
Destroyed by all the lies.
Sadness deep inside of you.
So much hurt and pain.
I wish I had not made you blue.
And filled you heart with rain.
I realise now what I must do.
To free you from these chains.
I hope you see my love was true.
As I turn and walk away.

Very sad and poignant - well written and rhymed.
